Who We Are

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of Sto. Tomas, Batangas is the primary government agency responsible for ensuring the safety, preparedness, and resilience of our community against various disasters and emergencies.

Established in compliance with the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010 (RA 10121), we serve as the coordinating body for all disaster risk reduction and management activities in the City of Sto. Tomas.

Our Mission

To protect the lives and properties of Tomasinos by promoting a culture of disaster preparedness, implementing effective risk reduction strategies, and ensuring swift and coordinated response during emergencies.

Our Core Functions

Develop and implement the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan
Coordinate disaster preparedness, response, rehabilitation, and recovery activities
Conduct information, education, and communication campaigns on disaster preparedness
Facilitate and support risk assessments and contingency planning
Organize and train community-based disaster response teams
Operate the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during disasters
Monitor and evaluate disaster risk reduction programs
Manage relief operations and evacuation centers
Coordinate with national and local agencies for disaster response
Maintain updated database of disaster incidents and responses

Our Programs & Services

Community Preparedness Training

We conduct regular training programs for barangay officials, emergency responders, and community members on disaster preparedness, first aid, search and rescue, and emergency response protocols.

Early Warning Systems

We maintain and operate early warning systems to provide timely alerts on incoming weather disturbances, floods, earthquakes, and other potential hazards.

Emergency Response & Relief

Our team is on standby 24/7 to respond to emergencies, conduct rescue operations, and provide immediate relief assistance to affected communities.

Evacuation Center Management

We manage designated evacuation centers throughout the city, ensuring they are equipped and ready to accommodate displaced families during disasters.
